Rully and around

Rully is one of the prettiest villages of the Côte Chalonnaise because it offers an exceptional steep site, surrounded by vineyards. Its built heritage combines traditional winemaker’s houses and beautiful buildings from the 19th century.

Rully is ideally located to radiate towards the most beautiful landscapes of Burgundy in all their diversity!

Beaune 22 km to the north is a tourist hotspot and a global reference for wine tourism. 19 km to the south is the town of Chalon sur Saône, a city on the banks of the Saône with all amenities. A little further (43 km) but really worth the trip, Autun, on the border of Morvan, is a magnificent city whose monuments bear witness to 2,000 years of history. From Autun you can access the heights of the Morvan

With a short drive, you reach Southern Burgundy and its Romanesque wonders: Tournus (45km), the churches and villages of Tournusien (Chapaize, Brancion..).

And if you don’t want to travel too much, know that all around Rully, you can walk by car or bike on the Côte Chalonnaise and its vineyards: Bouzeron, Mercurey, Givry. On the other side of the river Dheune, you reach the Côte d'Or to the prestigious vineyards of Montrachet (Puligny and Chassagne), of Meursault, all within a radius of 12km. Immediately near Rully, the town of Chagny offers all the necessary shops, with a choice of restaurants in all ranges, from 3 Michelin stars to small wine bar. Restaurants also found in the nearby village of Fontaines.
